Hawaiian Dreams Blanket Pattern

Hawaiian Dreams Blanket Pattern

I designed this blanket while on my honeymoon in Hawaii. I loved watching the waves come in, and wanted to capture the feeling of the ocean so that I could snuggle up with a blanket and dream of Hawaii on cold winter days. My husband even drove me to a yarn shop in Hawaii so that I could buy new yarn to start knitting it right away!

The blanket is constructed using mini cables and two colors of yarn. Similar colors will blend into each other and create a variegated look, while different colors will show more pronounced striping. Optionally, the blanket can be knit with just a single color of yarn instead.

Love of Cables Pillow Pattern

Love of Cables Pillow Pattern

The Love of Cables Pillow is something I created to show how much I love cables and love creating new designs with them. Cables form a delicate heart shape with twists going up the sides and across the back. The pillow can be knit as either a removable pillow cover with a button flap closure or a fully enclosed pillow with stuffing. It makes a beautiful accent for the home or a great gift for someone you love!

May Flowers Pillow Pattern

May Flowers Pillow Pattern

My mom always used to tell me “April showers bring May flowers.” The May Flowers Pillow captures the image of a new field of flowers growing and stretching toward the sky. Bees love these new flowers and fly about them searching for nectar.

The pillow is constructed with slipped stitches, mini cables, and bobbles. The flower stems and centers are knit as the pillow is knit, and the petals, leaves, and bees are added afterwards.
